User Guide
1. Initial Setup
Place fera coconut husk bedding directly into the bottom of your pet’s cage, enclosure, or designated bedding area. Spread an even layer to create a soft, absorbent surface.
The depth of bedding should be adjusted based on the type of pet and their natural behaviours. Burrowing or active animals may prefer a deeper layer, while others may be comfortable with less. Owners should choose a depth that best suits their pet’s needs.

2. Daily Maintenance
Remove solid waste and visibly soiled bedding daily to maintain a clean and hygienic habitat. Coconut husk bedding naturally clumps when wet, making soiled areas easy to identify and remove.
Top up with fresh bedding as needed to maintain comfort and coverage.

3. Full Bedding Replacement
Fully replace the bedding and clean the enclosure when required, based on the needs of your pet and the condition of the bedding.
Remove all used bedding, clean the enclosure using warm water and a pet-safe cleaner, allow it to dry completely, then add a fresh layer of fera bedding or litter.

4. Disposal & Reuse
fera bedding and litter is biodegradable and can be composted after use. For best practice, we recommend removing solid animal waste before composting, as most home compost systems are not designed to safely process pet faeces.
The remaining bedding—naturally soiled with urine and plant-based material—can be added to compost bins, garden beds, or disposed of via a green waste bin where accepted. Composting helps reduce landfill waste and supports a more sustainable pet care routine.
